About this project

We partnered with a fast-growing D2C apparel brand to build a custom headless mobile application powered by Shopify’s Storefront API and React Native. The app delivered native-like speed, personalized shopping with AI-driven recommendations, wallet-based payments, and push notifications—features that their millennial and Gen-Z customers valued most. With multi-currency and multi-language support, the brand expanded into five new markets, achieved a 42% increase in mobile conversions, and reduced checkout times by 30%, setting the stage for global growth.

Solutions Implemented

We designed and built a headless commerce mobile app using Shopify’s Storefront API, creating a decoupled architecture separating backend commerce from the front-end. This enabled faster performance, real-time data sync, flexible UX, seamless integrations, and scalable expansion for customer demands.

Shopify Storefront API:

We leveraged Shopify’s GraphQL Storefront API to power the product catalog, pricing, checkout, and customer account management—laying the foundation for a seamless headless architecture.

Front-End Framework:

The mobile app was built on React Native to ensure cross-platform compatibility for both iOS and Android. Smooth animations and gesture-based navigation were integrated to deliver an engaging and intuitive user experience.

Custom Checkout Flow:

Shopify’s Cart API was integrated with native payment gateways such as Apple Pay, Google Pay, UPI, and PayPal. This streamlined experience reduced cart abandonment by 18%.
